5 Tips for staying organized at your workplace, school, college etc.


Getting yourself organized is really very important and this becomes very important when it comes to your mental clarity in any workplace, be it your office, school, house.
The term ‘organized workplace’ was less known to me when I was a teenager and sometimes, I believe that to be my struggle during my teenage years. Every morning whenever I used to sit down to study, I had a real cluttered work place around me which caused my mind to get equally cluttered. Later did I learnt the value of an organized workplace so that I could churn out more productivity out of myself, and this absolutely did wonders for me.
In this article we are going to look at some tips on being organized during a day at your workplace. The tips that I would provide you with will get your life organized as well.

                               

  1. Get unnecessary stuff out of the way



    The first thing that needs to be done as you wake up is to get rid of the in-necessary stuff on your work station, for example if you are a student and will be studying mathematics during the morning then get rid of that Physics, history or economics book out of your way which may clutter your mind subconsciously and you may not Be able to focus on the current task that you might be performing.
    Un-necessary stuff also includes getting rid of gadgets which may distract you while you are doing your work, and please do get rid of all the soda cans, coffee cups, and packet of wayfers that you consume and try find a place to stuff them.
         

                             

     2. Take regular breaks


    Taking regular breaks absolutely helps you and can make your life very productive in first place. Taking regular breaks keeps your mind stress and clutter free and removes that sense of dis-organization from your head.
    The Pomodoro technique is very beneficial to get yourself organized.
    This is how this could be performed
    Set an alarm for about 20 minutes (or according to your capacity) and try working with full focus during that time and then take a break for 5 minutes. If you feel like continuing your work for more than 20 minutes you can and then take a  break and get back to work.

                             

     3. Have schedules/Time table


    Having schedules and time tables is really very important to get a task done. It really feels great when you are able to strike off that task from that list that you would have kept for yourself during the day.
    A schedule is a really very important requirement when it comes to being organized in a workplace or office as you are able to manage your meetings and tasks far more easily and efficiently without getting all stressed out.
    As a student who needs to get organized a time table or a daily ritual really comes in handy for you to take your productivity level up a notch.

                                   

    4. Maintain a daily Journal for your progress


    Have a dedicated notebook or diary for you to track your daily progress of how efficient and organized you were during the day, how often did you lose it and even have some time stamps marked whenever you make notes which make it easier for one to stay more organized mentally and physically. The best time to self-reflect by using the journal is at night before going to sleep as your mind gets re-wired while you are asleep and you might have figured out ways to deal with the problems you faced the day before subconsciously.

                    
          
             

    5. Divide big tasks into small chunks  

    Do not try to fulfil a task at a sitting which might require your prolonged time and efforts both physically or mentally. Try to chop that task into small chunks so that you may be able to work on it with refreshed energy every-time and the room for mistakes would drastically decrease.

                                

     Bonus Tip- Keep yourself hydrated


    This may sound quite bizarre to many of you but keeping yourself refreshed with liquids is a major player in keeping yourself organized at your workplace or any other place. When we perform any task, our body requires an immense supply of electrolytes especially our brain. If we tend to keep ourselves less hydrated, we may feel more fatigue and many a times people tend to procrastinate their work which leads to delayed deadlines.
    Juices, water, energy drinks are some options to keep yourself in the game.

    These are the simple 5 steps to keep yourself organized anywhere, and believe you me if you apply these techniques for even 3 days you would definitely see the results and will find your performance to be increased a lot more.
